name: Marth (also translated and romanized as Mars, Marus, Marusu or Mals).
age: 15 years old in FE1 and FE3 Book 1, 20 years old in FE3 Book 2.
profession: Prince of Aritia (Altea).
seiyuu: Hikaru Midorikawa (both in the anime than in Super Smash Bros Melee).
lineage: As a direct descendant of the legendary hero Anri (the one who defeated the Makmute king Medeus and brought peace to Akaneia centuries before), Marth is the only one who has the right to use the divine sword Falchion the only weapon who could slay the dark dragon Medeus, the responsible of all the disorders and the war which hit Akaneia.
class: Lord. Marth is the only lord of the game, a specific sword user class with not particular privileges, well balanced but not that powerful (anyway he can open chests, so it's a plus).
Being the lord Marth can't class-change or promote.
weapons: Swords only. He starts with a Rapier.
starting stats: LV 1 - HP 18 - Str 5 - Skl 3 - Wlv 5 - Spd 7 - Lck 7 - Pdf 7 - Mdf 0 - Item Rapier.

background: Marth is the legitimate Prince of Aritia (also translated as Altea), a little but wealthy country in the continent of Akaneia (or Akanea). He had to flee away from his reign when the kingdom of Doluna started to attack the majority of the countries of the continent, turning into an empire. King Cornelius, Marth's father, was killed during a battle, the legendary sword Falchion stolen and Princess Ellis (Marth's sister) misteriously disappered.
Marth found himself asking for asylum to the small island kingdom of Talis, only accompanied by a few loyal servants of Aritia.
He lived there for almost two years, trying to forget all his sufferences but still trying to remember what happened, to get ready and fight at the right circumstances.
And that day come, when Gard's pirates attached Talis withouth any clear reason...
